To anyone who visits this page My wife suffered badly with asthma all her life, At one time she had a district nurse to help her, She was fitted with a syringe driver to help her breath. Then one day she said to me she wanted to help others, A friend who was a senior carer in a local care home said she could give her a part time job as a junior care assistant. She loved that job, got stuck in and studied, She completed her NVQ and got a job as a Health Care Assistant in our local hospital in durham city ( U.H.N.D. ) She loved that job. On the 9th June 2010 after doing some decorating, she didn`t feel to well so decieded to go to bed to watch tv. Later she started to have a bad asthma attack, Me being a bloke and stubborn said everything would be ok. I gave her her nebuliser and oxygen, but nothing worked, At about 10-30pm she said she needed to go into hospital , again i said just use your inhaler and nebuliser, At about 2-30am she was sitting on the side of the bed, ( i had made her a cup of tea) to try and calm her down. She said she needed to go into hospital, She picked up the fone dialed 999 but couldn`t speak, So she gave the fone to me. As i was giving the paramedics directions to our house she looked straight at me and said "I am going now" With that she fell forward, I quickly grabbed her but when i looked at her she had stopped breathing, AT that same time the paramedics came in the front door, They worked on my wife for over an hour, but with no avail, I had lost my wife, TO ANYONE WHO READS THIS PAGE, NEVER TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE FOR GRANTED BECAUSE YOU NEVER REALISE WHAT YOU HAVE TILL IT SLIPS THROUGH YOUR FINGERS AND YOU LOOSE IT. I work for the funeral service and that night in question i Had to take my wife into the mortuary. This was and will be the hardest thing i have done in my life If i had foned for the ambulance when she asked me to My Wife would be hear by my side today I will blame myself for my wife`s death until the day i die R I P Darlling i will love you till i close my eyes for the last time xxxxx
